It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally here: hello and welcome to my official site! I’ve been wanting to combine my blog with a gallery system, but I didn’t have a whole lot of web programming experience and thought it best to outsource. I looked around in vain for someone to do it in exchange for pictures, favours, blood, but finally buckled down and figuring out how to do it myself. After countless hours of figuring out CSS and a dash of PHP the hard way, I think I’ve jury rigged something here that more or less holds together. There’ll probably be a few minor changes here and there in the next few weeks: suggestions and comments are welcome.
Having my own webspace means I also get to do something else I’ve wanted to do for a long time: audio slideshows. Here’s an old set made new via glamorous soundtrack.

-Austin: Wordpress for the bloggy bits, smugmug for the gallery bits, the grace of the machine god for any other bits. I used the Barthelme theme to start with for wordpress, because it’s fairly plain and easy to customise from.
-Thank you sir. I politely demand you update your Cal site and add me to your links page. (Seriously though, I had some downtime at work today and stumbled upon that old site. Those photos bring back memories.)
